Almost every picture of the Christmas stable includes a star. However, the star and the wise men who visited Jesus properly belong to the separate feast of Epiphany usually celebrated on 6 January. Perhaps the journeying in hope is almost more important than the arrival. Christians believe that, like a star, God in Christ will point us in the right direction. By what are we guided in our own lives?
