Two new youth and children’s chaplains join bumper ordination service for the Diocese of St Asaph

Two stipendiary youth and children’s chaplains will be licensed by the Bishop of St Asaph during this year’s ordination service on 29 June. Esther and Jon Andrews have been trained alongside the ordination candidates at the Church in Wales’ college, St Padarn’s Institute in Cardiff. Six deacons and six priests will be ordained by the Rt Revd Gregory Cameron at St Asaph Cathedral.

St Asaph Cathedral has seen a threefold rise in visitors since it opened a tearoom and interactive displays in 2018.  It is holding a volunteer recruitment day on Monday 24 June to explain the opportunities available.

New Partnership Agreement for Welsh and Finnish Churches

A formal link has been agreed between the Anglican Diocese of St Asaph in Wales and the Evangelical Lutheran Diocese of Helsinki in Finland. The Partnership Agreement was signed by the Bishops of both dioceses during the visit of a Finnish delegation to north Wales yesterday (3 June).
