Royal Maundy at St Asaph Cathedral

Thursday 2 April 2026

We were delighted to host the Royal Maundy Service at St Asaph Cathedral, with The King and Queen, on Thursday 2 April. It was the first time the occasion has been held in North Wales, and only the second time ever in Wales, in the 800-year history of Maundy.

You can find information about the service, its history and significance via the links below. In addition, there is a gallery of photographs of all those who received Maundy Money during the service.

You can see a selection of photographs from the occasion here (click here).

You can find out more about the Maundy Service in this film.
