Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week (11-17 May) the diocese held a well-being day in St Asaph Cathedral.
A variety of workshops were on offer encouraging people to slow down and appreciate the ancient and sacred surroundings of the Cathedral. These included journaling for well-being, yoga, an introduction to homeopathy, eating healthily, and drumming, amongst others. The day ended with a Sound Bath with meditation and prayer.
Parish nurse, Margaret Mort, was in attendance doing hand massages for participants whilst allowing time to ask questions about their health and well-being.
Sarah Wheat, the diocesan Engagement Officer, who helped to organise the event, said: “The diocese wanted to host something which was low-cost and would encourage people into the Cathedral. Participants loved the day and asked when the next one would be!”
