Diocesan Grants are available to Mission Areas and churches. Funding is available for projects relating to mission, ministry, buildings, work with young people and other aspects of church life.
The diocese is running a pilot project to encourage churches to install contactless giving technology. A 50% grant towards the cost of the machine is now available. Find out more here.
As of 2024 the criteria for a Building Grant was updated. The updated purpose of the Fund is to contribute to the repair and maintenance of the fabric of the buildings as well as enhancing the environmental performance and reducing the carbon footprint of the building going forward.

Applications are now being received for grants from the Berse Trust.
The purpose of the trust is to assist with education expenses of up to 15 girls/women per year who are under the age of 25 years and are resident in the Diocese of St Asaph. The grant is modest (usually between £50 – £100) but may be used to subsidise extra-curricular lessons, to assist in the purchase of books, or to go towards the expense of a degree course at university.
Please note that a grant can only be given for a first degree, second or subsequent degree courses are not eligible.
The application must be endorsed by a cleric of the Church in Wales, but not by the parent of the applicant.
