Places are available on this year’s Annual Pilgrimage along the North Wales Pilgrim’s Way.
The route which starts at Basingwerk Abbey near Holywell and follows ancient paths linking churches, wells and Welsh saints, ends at Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) off Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula. This year’s guided pilgrimage takes place from the evening of Friday 2 May until the evening of Friday 16 May.
It is being arranged by the Pioneer Pilgrim Priest the Revd Jane Finn and the walk leader is Mike Costello. Mike has a wealth of experience designing and walking the North Wales Pilgrims Way (NWPW), and Jane is an ordained priest, usually to be found in and around Aberdaron, who will be available and on hand, in a gentle way, to help with your life journey and where you find yourself at this time.
Jane said: “We have a few places left on this guided pilgrimage and I really hope we can fill them so people have the opportunity to experience the beauty, serenity and sacredness of this route.
“At times throughout the pilgrimage there will be thoughts, reflections or prayers of a Christian nature. There are opportunities to talk and discuss or gently reflect on some of the big questions of life and faith. We know it can offer a space for healing, despite the physical and mental demands of walking every day, between nine and 14 miles.
“If you’re looking for an opportunity to take the next steps on your faith journey or want space to seek and hear God in new and different ways, this pilgrimage maybe for you. Please get in touch with me to secure your spot!”
The 130-mile route passes through some of North Wales’ most stunning scenery and well-known landmarks, including St Winefride’s Well in Holywell, St Asaph Cathedral, Aber Falls, Eryri and the Llyn Peninsula.
