As Christians we are already part of a dementia friendly church community. Our faith is one of loving and appreciating all people, from all walks of life and from all parts of our rich, diverse society. We live and work towards being welcoming and supportive by acknowledging the specific needs of everyone in our community. Sometimes we make changes to how we communicate and behave so we can achieve an equal status for all.

For Dementia Action Week (15-21 May 2022) Ann Williams, the Dementia Support Officer held an event at St Asaph Cathedral with information and advice for living with Dementia. The films opposite were shown at the event and you can watch them again here now.
The Alzheimer’s Society estimates that in 2021, ONE MILLION people in the UK will be living with dementia. Many of these people, their families and carers are already known to us. We can help.
