The Diocese of St Asaph is working in partnership with the Church Army which runs the Wrexham Centre of Mission. It opened in 2015.
The Wrexham Centre of Mission is led by Josh Smith, from the Church Army. Working alongside Josh is Jack Wright, Pioneer Youth Evangelist. They are based in Caia Park in Wrexham, which is recognised by the European Community as an area of significant poverty and deprivation.
The Wrexham Centre of Mission is very active within the schools in and around Caia Park. Within these schools Josh and Jack run football sessions, a gardening mentoring scheme for children with behaviour problems and difficult home lives, detached work through school pastors and are hoping to develop more initiatives once things stabilise within schools.
The centre supports mission and evangelism across the whole diocese.
