The chair of the St Asaph Diocesan Board of Finance has written to every Mission Area announcing that additional funding is being made available to the Share Discount Scheme.

In the letter, Sam Allin says every “Mission Area that pays its 2022 Share in full by 31 December 2022 will receive a pay-out from the Discount Scheme that is approximately 12% of its annual 2022 Share. The payment will be made to the Mission Area and it will be for the Mission Area Trustee Body to decide how best to use this funding.”

The decision follows a release of funds from the Church in Wales’ Representative Body to support core costs.  £1,850k is being split in equal shares of £264k between the six DBFs and the Provincial Office.

Sam ends her letter saying: “I hope that this will be welcome news for you all at this challenging time and that it will encourage you to move forward with confidence as we work together to Grow Faith, Bring Hope and Demonstrate Love.”
