Eating Well whatever your income - a mini conference at St Asaph Cathedral

This event will now take place on Tuesday 4 July from 10.30 – 2pm at St Asaph Cathedral

St Asaph Cathedral is to host a mini-conference looking at innovative ways to end food poverty in Wales.

In partnership with Shotton based social business, Well-Fed, the conference will hear from a range of speakers discussing how good food services in our communities can help us all, regardless of income, and ensure everyone eats well and healthily.

The conference is open to anyone with an interest in ending food poverty in Wales and is free. It will take place on Tuesday 4 July from 10.30am – 2pm and you can register here. Lunch will be served at 12noon.

Churches are encouraged to send representatives to hear how their buildings could become good food hubs for their local community.  Every church, regardless of location or congregation size, can be involved in this.

The conference will have speakers talking about:

  • The ‘Fuel and Food’ campaign launched by the Archbishop of Wales, Andrew John and the impact it will have, as we continue to cope with the cost-of-living crisis.
  • The launch of a new ‘Meals on Wheels’ service, established by Well-Fed, The service looks to bring people together using fresh meals providing the opportunity for people to eat well and cook easy at home. The service makes good food affordable to everyone.

The conference is for you if:

  • You are concerned about the cost-of-living crisis.
  • You are concerned about health and well-being.
  • You are supporting others with food aid services.
  • You want to discuss/learn how to introduce a fresh meals services in your area. Want to discuss/learn how people can eat well at affordable prices
