Diocesan Secretary Vacancy

The Diocese of St Asaph is seeking a exceptional individual to be our Diocesan Secretary as a key leader in our work to Grow Faith, Bring Hope and Demonstrate Love to the communities of north east and mid Wales. This vision is about bringing change, while remaining faithful to the life-giving message of Jesus. It’s about challenging, inspiring, and equipping the whole people of God to grow in their faith to bring hope and to demonstrate love.

As our Diocesan Secretary, your role is critical in leading the excellent Diocesan staff team, in effectively managing the resources of the Diocese and in providing the Bishop with support in developing and implementing our vision for ministry and mission through the ministry areas that carry out so much of our life giving work. We are looking for someone who can be a steward of resources, a leader of people and an effective partner in a wide array of relationships. You will combine experience of financial and resource management in a complex environment with people-focused leadership of teams and the ability to build broad relationships through influence and mutual understanding. Alongside this professional experience, you will also be a practising Christian empathetic to the mission and ministry of the Church in Wales and able to lead in an environment where decision making and vision is driven by the desire to experience the life and see the growth of the kingdom of God.
