Prison Chaplaincy

HMP Berwyn, Wrexham

HMP Berwyn is an adult male category C prison located in Wrexham industrial estate.

Berwyn operates a multifaith chaplaincy team, representing all major faiths and Christian denominations.  The chaplaincy exists to provide spiritual and pastoral care for everyone involved with the prison, including the Men in our custody, staff and visitors, regardless of faith or lack of faith.  We seek to provide hope and normality for all involved in the criminal justice system and guide the men through a culture of rehabilitation.

The chaplaincy provides worship and religious study for all the major faiths and Christian worship in both English and Welsh.
