Playing our part in tackling the cost-of-living crisis in Wales

In this section you’ll find information, resources and inspiration to help you and your church play your part in tackling the cost of living crisis in Wales . 

A conference looking at ways to ensure everyone has access to good quality, tasty, healthy food, regardless of income, took place at St Asaph Cathedral on Tuesday 4 July 2023.

Mondays

12noon – 1.30pm: The Table at St Peter’s Church, Holywell: https://www.holywellchurches.co.uk/serving-the-community#FoodClub

3pm – 6pm: The Christian Centre, Glyn Ceiriog, Wrexham: Enjoy a homemade bowl of hot soup, toast, tea/coffee/squash and biscuits. Details on the poster in English and Welsh.

Tuesdays

12pm – 4.30pm: St Grwst’s Church, Llanrwst is offering a free hot drink and biscuit, a space to connect to our WiFi and do some work or homework, play some board games with others, or just chat with friends. All are welcome!

10am – 12noon: St David’s Church, Penrhyn Bay: https://www.facebook.com/stdavidspb/ 

All Saints, Southsea: 10am – 8pm: https://www.facebook.com/All-Saints-Church-Southsea-493145450860933/ (from 31 Jan – 15 March) Home workers very welcome – we have good WiFi. There will be a separate quiet area for anyone who wishes to sit and work, read, or just have some peace. All are welcome of all faiths & none. If you’re someone who prays, there will be a prayer corner available. Please note: Under 18s must be accompanied by an adult who will remain responsible for them at all times. Hot drinks available, plus a microwave which can be used to heat up food you might like to bring.
