Before live streaming or uploading a service online, please ensure you are complying with safeguarding and GDPR requirements.
Consent should be obtain for filming/showing children/young people online. Consent forms are available in the Safeguarding Policy.
If you are video conferencing with children and young people, there are specific guidelines. Please read them in full here.
Ensure you have proper signage in place and a video “safe zone” so members of the congregation can opt out of being shown online.
Before streaming or broadcasting a service or act of worship, you will need to consider copyright implications and ensure sensitive / confidential information isn’t shared.
Please check what level of copyright cover your church has before proceeding with live streaming or an online service, especially if you intend to include music (any form of music) in your online service. The inclusion of any commercial music (including church/Christian music) is likely to have a copyright implication and you should have an appropriate license in place before uploading it to any digital platform.
