There has been a great deal of concern about the Afghan refugees who are currently arriving in Britain, and considerable interest in how to help them has been expressed by members of Welsh churches. Here’s a brief summary of the advice available, including some faith resources.
The Wrexham church and cold weather shelter opened on Monday 30 December 2019. Seven churches across Wrexham will open their doors to welcome up to 10 guests, offering a warm welcome, a hot meal and a safe bed for the night. Find out how the shelter operates in this short film:
The Llandudno/Colwyn Bay Night Shelter opened as a six week pilot programme on 3 February 2020. Five churches across both towns are hosting the project offering accommodation and hospitality to up to 10 guests seven nights of the week.
