Two new members have been admitted to the Order of St Asaph during a service to celebrate the feast day of Asaph.
The Order of St Asaph is a way of honouring and celebrating outstanding service to the Diocese by leading lay members of the diocesan family. It celebrates outstanding and distinctive contributions made to the witness of the Church in the Diocese of St Asaph and expresses gratitude for many years of service. Over the years, more than 40 people have been admitted to the Order. The 2025 recipients are:
Trevor Trevor received his medal in recognition of his service to the diocese, particularly as Vice-Chair of the Diocesan Board of Finance
Susan Varah received her medal in recognition of her commitment and dedication to the work of the Mothers’ Union in the diocese over 25 years.At the same service, thanks was given to those clergy who are celebrating a significant anniversary of ordination. Canon Martin Batchelor join the service to mark 30 years since his ordination as a deacon. Others celebrating significant anniversaries were:
