First Ordination for Newtown Church
First Ordination for Newtown Church
A church in Newtown has hosted its first Ordination Service. All Saints Church in the town was full for the ordination of Wendy Gardner by the Bishop of St Asaph. Wendy has been in ministry in some way for almost 60 years and was delighted to finally be ordained yesterday (Sunday 26 November).
Wendy has become a deacon in the Church in Wales, and will be an Assistant Curate in the Cedewain Mission Area. She will focus her ministry on pastoral work in the local hospital and in care homes.
