Three new members have been admitted to the Order of St Asaph during a special service to celebrate the 1450th anniversary of Asaph as Bishop and namesake of the diocese and city.

In addition, the service celebrated the sainthood of Asaph who is believed to have become the second bishop of the diocese in 573 AD after Kentigern’s return to Scotland. A celebratory cake was cut after the service and those attending left with a commemorative coin.
