Reflections for Holy Week and Easter (new for 2024)
Revd Carol Farrer has been working with the Diocesan Spirituality Group to publish an illustrated booklet of prayerful reflections in readiness for Holy Week and Easter. Revd Carol’s meditations reflect the move from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, and can be used individually, with a group, or as part of a complete service. They explore the theme of Good Friday from the differing perspectives of Pilate, Simon of Cyrene, Nicodemus, Mary Magdalene and the Centurion, with concluding reflections on ‘At what cost?’ and Emmaus. You can download them here to read online or to print out as a booklet.
Bishop John Pritchard generously filmed a special reflection for us on prayer when he came to St Beuno’s to lead our Lenten diocesan quiet day at St Beuno’s (18 February 2023). Dr Rowan Williams led a masterclass on prayer at St Asaph Cathedral on Monday 7 November. More than 200 people gathered to hear his inspiring teaching on praying in a talk entitled, Finding the Centre: The Journey of Prayer. You can watch it again here.
